Obituary for Max Little Max Evan Little Max Evan Little left this earthly world at the age of 86 on August 18, 2018 to join his lord and other family members in heaven. Max was born February 26, 1932 near Westfall, Kansas to Arch Little and Anita Elnora (Keller) Little. Max grew up on the family farm with his seven sisters and brothers. When Max was 9 years old his leg was severely burned in a fire. He was told that he would never walk again. One day he ask his dad if he would ever be able to play football. He responded, “You can if you want to.” Max played football in high school. Max met Joan Lee Lloyd in 1952 in Salina, KS. They were married August 7, 1953 in Littleton, CO. The newly wed couple returned to Kansas where Max worked at an aircraft assembly plant and at the family farm. Max and Joan were blessed with four children, Sherilynn Sue, Terry Lee, Sandra Kae and Jeffery Scott. Max and Joan celebrated their 65th anniversary with their children and several grandchildren. In 1964 the family moved to Littleton, CO and later to Westminster CO. Max and Joan bought a cabin near Baily, CO where they spent weekends and vacation time for several years. In 1975 Max, Joan and Jeff moved to the mountain cabin. In the years following years Max and Joan followed their hearts moving for a time to Prescott, AZ then back to Baily then to Canon City, CO, to Fort Morgan, CO for a couple years and back to Canon City. Joan’s brother William (Bill) Lloyd lived with the family for a time and became more of a brother than an uncle to the Little children. Max was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters Lowell, Beryl (Katzenmeir), Jack, Eunice (Brady) and Sam. Max is survived by his wife Joan, sister Lola (Brown), brother Don, his four children and their spouses, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren as well as innumerable nieces, nephews and other extended family. The Little family is planning a “Celebration of Life” for Max at the family home in Canon City, CO on August 15, 2018. Family and friends are invited to come help honor the life he led.
