OBITUARY Mary Marlene Buttner June 12, 2017 – August 25, 2018 Angels took Baby Mary Marlene Buttner, age 14 months, home to Heaven on Saturday, August 25, 2018, from Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson. Her family invites you to join them for a time of remembering and sharing on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. A Life Celebration Service for Mary Marlene will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, August 29, 2018, in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Mary Marlene was born June 12, 2017, in Jackson. She was a fighter from day one, and always eager to learn. She enjoyed cartoons, dachsunds, and Face-timing with her family. Mary Marlene loved listening to all kinds of music and was a true “people watcher”. Her favorite color was purple, and her favorite toys included her purple wubnub, her Cuddles Lullabye teddy bear and her Teddy Ruxpin. She was fascinated by colorful fish, and liked to watch her fish mobile above her bed and the fish pictures that were drawn for her. Mary Marlene was such an incredible inspiration to all who knew her, and the memory of her big, bright smile and her spirited resiliency will echo in their hearts forever. Survivors include her parents, Jonathon and Carrie Buttner; grandparents, Roger Buttner and Alice McMillan; great-grandparents, Carl Buttner and Marlene Rhyner; aunts and uncles, Wendell and Lucy Landrum, Tony Landrum, Joe and Angela Chatham, Pamela and Shawn Matthews, and Robert Fagan, Jr.; and honorary grandparents, Juanita Jolly, and Peggy Steinwinder. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Mary Fagan Chatham and Dwain Donald Chatham; great-grandparents, Robert E. Fagan, Sr., Katherine Sanders Fagan, E.J. Chatham and Minnie Shirley Chatham; and honorary grandfather, Dale Steinwinder.
