Mary B. Frye “Dot”, 91, of Potomac, MD passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, August 25, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly fifty years, Earl C. Frye in 1993. She is survived by her son Thomas Frye of Laytonsville, MD, daughter in law Patricia Frye, granddaughter Lori F. Gibson and husband Michael and Grandson John T. Frye, great-granddaughters Katelyn and Alyssa Gibson and great-grandson Ryan Frye. Mary was born on May 15, 1927 in the family home in Potomac, MD. Also preceding her in death were brothers Ray and James Boswell and sisters Anna Robey and Isabelle Winner. Mary’s life was dedicated to her family and the generations of children who experienced her love, care and sense of humor over a fifty year career with the Rockville Nursery School. For decades after her retirement, she continued to receive cards and well wishes from parents and children who carried her memory into adulthood. On behalf of Mary, the family would like to express particular appreciation to nieces Norine Boswell and Jean Fling for their many years of kindness and friendship. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11am at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 21720 Laytonsville Rd., Laytonsville, MD 20882. Interment will follow at Laytonsville Cemetery.
