At the age of 93 years, Mary Ann died Monday, August 13, 2018 in Bay County Medical Care Facility. She was born to Arthur and Angeline (Dolley) DuRussel in Saginaw on May 26, 1925. Mary Ann was united in marriage to Norman C. Reed on 10/12/1946 and he preceded her in death in 1994. She later married John C. (Jack) Gravlin on 04/12/2002 and he died in 2017. Mary Ann was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish and past president of its St. Anne Society. She loved and cherished her grandchildren… Read More » and enjoyed being outside, especially in her vegetable and flower gardens. She was very generous with her time and was a caregiver for so many people over her lifetime. Mary Ann was also truly appreciative of her special neighbors. Surviving family members include four children, Rosalind K. Herek, Donald S. Reed, Michael N. (Linda) Reed, and Betty J. (Dave) Wisniewski; her nephew/son, Douglas (Pamela) DuRussel; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren (and one on the way); three great great grandchildren (and one on the way); siblings, Lois Szekely, Arthur (Florine) DuRussel, Dale DuRussel, Floyd (Mary) DuRussel, Angeline (Eugene) Solgat, Nancy (Ward) Schwartz, and Ben (Sue) DuRussel; brother-in-law, James Karp; as well as five stepchildren and their families; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Mary Reed; granddaughter, Lori Albertson-Klugman; three sisters and one brother, Ruth DuRussel, Robert DuRussel, Evelyn Beyerlein, and Rose Marie Karp; along with a son-in-law, Bryan Herek. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, August 17, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at All Saints Parish (St. James Church), 710 Columbus Avenue, Bay City, MI, with Rev. Fr. Jose Maria Cabrera presiding. Memorial contributions may be directed to Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund. Visiting time with the family is Friday at the church from 9:00 to 11:45 AM, at which time there will be sharing of remembrances of Mary Ann until Mass. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel.
