Obituary for Mary Patrick Mary Alice Patrick, affectionately known as “Alice” and “Nannie”, a retiree from Northrop Grumman formerly Avondale Shipyards of 30 plus years departed this life on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late James Cobb and Lizzie Payton Cobb. Mary Alice was a native of St. Francisville, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. She was 70 years old. Wife of Sylvester Davis, Sr. loving mother of her devoted son, Jovan Patrick, darling grandmother of Jaylin, Jazmin and Mia Patrick, Asjah and Khaliq Hester. An adored aunt to her beloved niece/god-daughter DeShannon Cobb- Russell (Carlos) and special great nephew, Devin Russell, a dear cousin, Lucille Prevost. Sister of the late Robert & Samuel Cobb and Philip Payton, Bernia Cobb-McKines (Joe), Donna Franklin (Leon), Walter Cobb (Patricia), Arthur Henderson (Rose Mary), friend and sister-in-law, Paulette A. Cobb. Also survived by a host of stepchildren, stepgrandchildren, godchildren, special cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at Israel Baptist Church, 1612 Esther St, Harvey, LA on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 10:00 am. Rev. Dr. Johnny M. McKinnes, Officiating. No public viewing. Final Remembrance and Burial Services will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 11:00am at the New Irondale Baptist Church 6464 Ouida Irondale Rd, Weyanoke, LA (St. Francisville, LA) Rev. Albert Anderson III, Pastor. Officiating services Evangelist Bernia Cobb-McKinnes. No public viewing. Interment–New Irondale Baptist Church Cemetery.
