Obituary for Marvin L. Rochleau Dateline: Alton Marvin L. Rochleau, 92, died at 6:23 a.m. Sunday, August 26, 2018 at his home. Born January 31, 1926 in Algona, Iowa, he was the son of Alton L. and Rose Ruth (Harmon) Rochleau. Mr. Rochleau was a member of the Godfrey First United Methodist Church and a past member of the Masonic Lodge and the Rotary Club. He was the owner/operator of the HiWay House on Godfrey Road for many years. On January 18, 1948 he married the former Doris M. Miller. She survives. Also surviving are four children, David A. Rochleau (Janet) of Belleville, Cathy Lehnhoff (Jim) of Highridge, MO, Joyce Lewis-Adams (Dave) of Auburn, IL, and Larry Rochleau (Michelle) of Sullivan, MO, as well as 17 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, one brother, Alton “Sonny” Rochleau of Indianola, Iowa, and one sister, Doris Mueller of Algona, Iowa. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Fosseen, son, Donald Keith Rochleau, sons-in-law, Mike Lewis and James Fosseen, a great grandson, Kevin Fosseen, a brother, Gerald Rochleau, and two sisters, Dolores Uthof, and Eileen Gronwall. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the Godfrey First United Methodist Church followed by burial in the memorial garden. Reverend Steven Friese will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Godfrey First United Methodist Church. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
