Obituary for Marjorie Jones (Fry) Velma- Mrs. Marjorie “Margie” Loretta (Fry) Jones, age 83 of Velma departed this life on Monday, July 23, 2018 at her home in Velma, OK. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the New Velma Cemetery with Rev. Glynn Baker officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Velma Chapel. Mrs. Margie was born April, 5th 1935 in Hartville, Missouri to the late Mr. Evans Fry and Mrs. Ollie Elizabeth (Key) Fry. Margie grew up in Mountain Grove Missouri where she graduated High School; she had since lived in Velma for the past 63 years. Margie had many hobbies she enjoyed, she loved putting puzzles together and crocheting, however; she mostly enjoyed her time being a devoted housewife to her loving husband Charles S. Jones. Although, she was mostly a housewife, she worked for the telephone company at one time. Margie was of the Baptist Faith. Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Charles S. Jones, and two sisters, Velma Austin and Jean McClanahan. Margie is survived by her sister, Fay Perry of Houston Texas; nephews, Paris Austin and wife Evelyn of Woodland, Alabama, and Jim Perry and wife Toni of Edmond, Oklahoma. A family visitation is scheduled for Monday evening from 6-8 at the Alexander Gray Velma Chapel Online condolences may be made to www.alexanderfuneralhome.org.
