Obituary for Lurline Mann Lurline Mann, age 92, born April 5, 1926 in Strengthford, MS, passed away on August 6, 2018 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. Visitation will be held at Memory Chapel on Wednesday, August 8th from 5 until 7 p.m. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Memory Chapel with interment to follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Bro. Ken Johnson will officiate. Mrs. Mann was a seamstress prior to her retirement. She was a devout member of Plainway Baptist Church and was a former Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Mann was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Matthews; brothers, Sylvester Strickland, Shelby Strickland, Norman Strickland and Wilson Strickland; sisters, Pauline Anderson and Melvina Odom; and parents, John Strickland and Dora Cooley Strickland. She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Vernon Mann; son, Larry Matthews (Cindy) of Indiana; daughter, Lisa Jefcoat (Tim) of Louisiana; granddaughter, Malorie Thornton; and great grandchildren, Blaise Sullivan and Gracie Dilmore.
