Luke Douglas Haas, age 13 of Scotch Ridge, Ohio passed away Saturday morning, August 25, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at the Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green, OH. Luke was born on May 20, 2005 in Bowling Green, OH to Charles A. and Dana Jo (David) Haas. Luke attended Eastwood Middle School and had just started the 7th grade. He was a little boy with an old soul that still loved doing the things that boys do; like playing with Legos and telling jokes. He also enjoyed fishing, shooting… Read More » his hunting bow and bee bee gun. He enjoyed playing cards and was teaching his little sister how to play poker. Known to his family as their buckaroo, he loved all things cowboys, like John Wayne, Chuck Norris, and country western music. He was known as the king of one-liners, and doing card tricks, which included his favorite pastime, being with his family and friends. Luke is survived by his mother and father; Charlie and Dana Haas of Scotch Ridge, sisters; Christina David of NE, Kayla Haas of Scotch Ridge, maternal grandparents; John and Kathryn Baily of Bowling Green, paternal grandparents; Doug and Karen Haas of Bowling Green, Catherine and Mike Tyson of Mt. Blanchard and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by an infant brother; Jonathan Haas, paternal great-grandparents; Dale and Betty Haas, Herman and Marie Hostler, maternal great-grandparents: Clarence and Rosena David. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m., Friday, August 31, 2018 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 22552 Carter Rd., Dowling, where there will be additional visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service. Officiating will be Pastor Jerry Steen. There will be a bereavement luncheon served back at the church fellowship hall immediately following the cemetery committal service. Interment will be in Webster Township Cemetery, Scotch Ridge, OH. Memorials may take the form of contributions to the family: c/o/ Dana Haas.
