Obituary for Louie Brown McCullough Louie Brown McCullough, 85, of Conyers, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2016, at Abbey Hospice. He was born in Rockdale County, GA to Leroy and Lela (Berry) McCullough. Louie was a member and Deacon of Hopewell Presbyterian Church. He played minor league baseball for the Atlanta Crackers and his hobbies included football and basketball; he also enjoyed traveling. Louie loved spending time with his sons, grandchildren, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Lela (Berry) McCullough; sisters, Annie Ruth Ray, Pauline McDonald, Julie Fowler; and brothers, T. J. McCullough, Bernice McCullough, Bill McCullough. Louie is survived by his wife, Verna Faye McCullough of Conyers; sons, Gary McCullough of Social Circle, David McCullough of Conyers, Charles McCullough of Jackson, Mike Tuck of Conyers; daughter, Vicki Mackis of Stone Mountain; grandchildren, Stephen McCullough, Kayleigh McCullough, Shane McCullough; great-granddaughter, Cadance McCullough; brother and sister-in-law Walker and Dot McCullough of Tucker; mother-in-law, Helen C. Johnson of Conyers; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Louie will be held Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 155 Hopewell Church Rd, Covington, GA 30016 with Rev. Tanner Cline officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state from noon until 2:00 pm.
