Obituary for Linda Speer Dighton- Linda Louise Speer, 72, died on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Grisell Memorial Long Term Care in Ransom. She was born on May 11, 1946 at Dodge City the daughter of David Paul & Esta Mae (Lockman) Dowell. She married Keith E. Speer on September 10, 1967 at Dighton. He died on March 17, 2001. Linda attended Dighton and Leoti schools. She formerly worked at the First National Bank and the Horseshoe Café but mainly was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church where she worked many funeral dinners thru the years. She enjoyed her quarter collection, reading & keeping her daily diary. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband & Grandson- Joseph Speer. She is survived by her Son- Chad Speer of Dighton, Daughter- Lisa Hall of Burns, Oregon & 3 Grandchildren- Cameron James Hall, David Keith Speer & Rebecca Marie Speer. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM Monday at First Christian Church with Rev Aerii Smith officiating. Burial will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Grisell Memorial Long Term Care or Lane County Long Term Care in care of Boomhower Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at Boomhower Funeral Home.
