Obituary for Mr. Lincoln L. Avery Lincoln L. Avery, 48, of Ruby, passed away on August 4, 2018 in Henry Ford Hospital after a short illness with his family by his side. He was born on August 29, 1969 in West Branch, son of the late Lincoln and Ellinore Avery. Lincoln married Melynda D. Cowell on December 8, 1998 in Port Huron. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Lincoln was a hardworking man, very well respected and family orientated. He was one of 21 siblings. Lincoln was a loving husband, father and papa. Lincoln is survived by his wife, Melynda Avery of Ruby; son, Benjamin of Ruby; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica (Andrew) Malugin of Port Huron; son, Jacob Avery of Ruby; granddaughter, Andrea Malugin of Port Huron; and several sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave., Port Huron. The Rev. Kathy McPhail of Ruby Community Church will officiate. Visiting hours will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial tributes may be made to the Wishes of the Family.
