LeRoy Gravelle, 85, of Oakmont and formerly of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. He was born in New Kensington on December 9, 1932, to the late Thomas & Catherine Beaver Gravelle. LeRoy worked on several farms, the bottling plant in Blawnox, and at a scrapyard. He enjoyed riding bicycles and playing horse shoes. Survivors include his brother, Kenneth T. (Sylvia) Gravelle of Natrona Heights; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, William, Harry, Lawrence, Richard, David and Elmer, and two sisters, Ida Confer and Hazel Fry. Viewing will be Friday from 10a until services at 12 Noon in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Rev. Dean Ward, pastor of The River – A Community Church, will officiate. Private burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
