Obituary for Mr. Larry A. Hill Mr. Larry A. Hill, age 77, of Mayfield passed away peacefully on August 21, 2018 at the Fulton Center for Rehab in Gloversville, NY. Larry was born in Ephratah, NY, on April 14, 1941 the son of the late Arthur Hill and Gladys Heroth Hill. Larry is a graduate of Oppenheim –Ephratah Central School and the State University at Oneonta where he received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education. He first taught third and fourth grade at Ephratah Consolidated School, where he also served some time as Vice Principal of the School. He then went onto teach 5th grade at Northville Central School. Survivors include beloved wife of 50 years, Lois Hill, daughters, Tracey Hill of Mayfield and Michelle Hill- Davis(Ulysses) of Gansevoort; grandchildren, Jasmine Hill- Davis, Justin Davis and Jaina Davis. He is also survived by a sister in law, Elaine Hill of St. Johnsville and a nephew James Hill. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Cranberry Creek Community Church, 112 Gilbert Road, Mayfield, NY 12117 from 11am until 12pm. A funeral service will take place at the church at 12pm with Rev. John Steenburg officiating. Burial will follow in Ephratah Rural Cemetery, Route 10, St. Johnsville. In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made in Larry’s memory to the Cranberry Creek Community Church.
