Larry A. Coss, Sr. of Freeland, age 70, died Monday, August 6, 2018 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned. Contributions in his memory may be made to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital to go towards the Pulmonary Care Unit. Larry was born on September 26, 1947 in Saginaw to the late Leston and Dolores (Hunter) Coss. He was a resident of Freeland since 2004 coming from Grand Rapids. Mr. Coss retired from Centurytel in 2002. He enjoyed working in his yard and computers and had been a volunteer for the Chesaning Showboat. Surviving are: son, Larry (Rachel) Coss Jr. of Chesaning; daughter, Pennie (Jay) Yugmang of Kansas City, MO; daughter-in-law, Amy Lynn Coss of Brant; grandchildren: Kevin Blain Coss, Keysha Coss, Keagan Coss, Joshua Coss and Nicholas Yugmang; sister-in-law, Laurie Coss of Oakley; special uncle, Jerry Coss of Chesaning; special nephew, Scott Coss of Chesaning; many other nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by: son, Kevin Coss on May 19, 2016; brother, Roger Coss on December 27, 2010; and a nephew, Rodney Coss on January 29, 2008.
