Kelly Sowell Meador Alpine, AL – On May 19, 1965 the halls of the original Santa Rosa Hospital in Milton, FL were filled with love as Donnie and Cheryl Sowell announced the birth of their first child, Kelly Suzanne. On Thursday, August 16, 2018 the streets of Heaven were filled with joy as Kelly moved from her beautiful earthly home on Lake Logan Martin in Alpine, AL. She was surrounded be her beautiful flowers, birds, chipmunks, and her dogs, Lake & Lizzie. She had the best love and care provided by her husband, Alan Scot Meador and his parents, Rex & Janet Meador. Other family members who survive her are her two sons, Hunter Burton and Thomas Chase Webb; step-daughter, Maddie Meador; brother, Kevin B. Sowell; two aunts, Annie Parker and Linda Gray; uncle, Holllis Sanford; as well as her chosen sister, Malysa Wyse. Kelly grew up as a Mulat community country girl, enjoying her horses, fishing and camping. She became a Christian at the age of 17 and graduated from Pace High School in 1983. Kelly worked for 22 years in the medical profession. Family will receive friends 3:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Life at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Chumuckla Community Church, 8008 Chumuckla Hwy, Pace, FL with Rev. David Lewis officiating and dear family friend, Ken Rogers offering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Elizabeth Chapel Community Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Scott Markel, Will Meloy, John Meador, Steve Richards, Greg Richards, and James Eric Sanders. Honorary Pallbearers will be Henry & Julie Cassidy, Victor & Karen Campbell, Roy Allen, Donald & Mary Leavins, and members of the Sylacauga, AL Police Department.
