Kathleen A. Ebel, age 62, was born on September 14, 1955 in Mt. Clemens and passed away at Beaumont Hospital in Grosse Pointe on August 14. She was beloved mother to Jessica and sister to David. The last several years of Kathy’s life were enhanced by the quality care she received from Carol Cook. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks for Carol’s loving kindness. Kathy always yearned for children and went to great lengths to conceive. She always claimed to have received “everything she ordered” in Jessica. As Kathy’s only child, the two shared a special bond. Kathy earned a degree in English from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. After several years in property management, Kathy chose the teaching profession and cared deeply for her students. Besides teaching, Kathy loved to write, read and was a great cook. She had a huge heart and loved big. She will be missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. A caring cremation was entrusted to Walter Scott Skupny Funeral Home, 28605 Gratiot, Roseville. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, from 10am to Noon at the Funeral Home, with an 11:15 Memorial Service conducted by her brother David.
