OBITUARY Kathaleen VANKLEEK February 25, 1931 – August 19, 2018 Kathaleen VanKleek, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 19, 2018 in DeWitt, Michigan. Born February 25, 1931 in Lapeer, Michigan to Ivan and Lucile (Holden) VanKleek, Kathaleen was a committed educator who taught fourth grade for many years in Lapeer. She never drove, preferring instead to walk all around her beloved hometown. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially traveling to visit them and camping. She was a faithful church member of the First Baptist Church of Lapeer and very mission oriented. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Paul VanKleek. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law, Judy VanKleek; her nephews, Kent (Julia) and Terry (Michele) VanKleek; her niece, Michelle (Jim) Reardon; her great-nieces and nephews, Rachel Newton, Brooke VanKleek, Caleb VanKleek, Levi VanKleek, Elijah VanKleek, Dom Reardon, and Madlyn Reardon.
