OBITUARY K D Koon April 18, 1973 – August 18, 2018 Play Tribute Movie K D Koon, 45, of Fort Smith, passed from this life August 18, 2018. She was born April 18, 1973 to the late Bruce and Alice Pearson Koon. K D was a graduate of Southside High School and graduated from UAFS with a degree in accounting. She was always fun loving and full of life. K D was a compassionate, kind and selfless friend to many. She was a member of the Old Fort Days Dandies, ran high school rodeo and was and exhibitor and board member of the West Ark Horse Association for many years. She loved her horses and barrel racing and was loved and respected throughout the barrel racing community. She was a member at St. Luke Lutheran Church and worked at Budget Car Rental. She is survived by her sister, Marcia Koon of West Chicago, Illinois; her brother, Robert Koon of Chicago, Illinois; a niece, Kelsey Koon; as well as a cousin, Bob Robertson. A memorial service will be 6:00pm Tuesday August 21, 2018 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with a visitation being from 5:00 to 6:00pm prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HOPE Humane Society, 3800 Kelley Highway, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904.
