Josephine Ellen McQuain 2018

Josephine McQuain Josephine Ellen (Payne) McQuain, 88, of Parkersburg, went to be with The Lord August 19, 2018 from Worthington Nursing Home. She was born in Webster Springs, September 1, 1929, a daughter of the late Orlando Rucker Payne and Cora Columbia (Arthur) Payne. Josephine was a member of Stephenson United Methodist Church, where she was a member of The United Methodist Women, 4-H, numerous PTA committees, and Blood Drives at their Church. She worked at Dudley’s Greenhouse and Top Value where she was a Clerk. She is survived by her son Reverend Thomas G. “Tom” McQuain & (Robin) of Parkersburg, son Patrick L. McQuain of Parkersburg, grandchildren, Sara McQuain, Thomas McQuain “Tommy”, Sam McQuain, & Patrick “Louie” McQuain II, great-grandchildren, Dahlia Davis and Leena Davis, & former daughter-in-law, Bobbie McQuain of Parkersburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Glenn McQuain, two sisters, Shelia Woods and Gweneth Johnson, five brothers, Infant James Payne, Alfred, Charles, Harry Holliday “Had”, and Ray Payne. Service will be Thursday 1:00 PM at The Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Reverend Thomas G. McQuain officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
