Joseph J. “Joe” Gryskiewicz, age 60, of the Town of Schley, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Ascension St. Clare’s Hospital, Weston. Joe was born August 30, 1957, son of the late John and Marion (Schumacher) Gryskiewicz. He married Julie Yanda on July 10, 1987. She survives. Joe retired from Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Merrill, after 35 years of employment. Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Joe enjoyed repairing small engines, tractors, cars, and farm equipment.… Read More » Joe loved music. He enjoyed singing and taught himself how to play the 12 string acoustic guitar. Joe’s favorite thing to do was spending time with his three grandsons. Survivors include his wife Julie Gryskiewicz, Merrill; one daughter, Nicole Gryskiewicz, Merrill; one son, David Gryskiewicz, Madison; three grandsons, Trenton, Daven, and Logan; one sister, Becky (Bruce) Cropsey, Merrill; and one brother, Tom Gryskiewicz, Three Lakes. Besides his parents, Joe is preceded in death by two sisters, Terry and Ginny Gryskiewicz. The Funeral Liturgy will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 1, 2018, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Bloomville. Michele Rein will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Town of Schley. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Saturday at the church.
