Johnny Eugene Breeden, age 63, of Morristown, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport. He was a member of Holt’s Baptist Church. Johnny worked in the ASARCO Zinc Mines in Jefferson County for twenty-six years and retired from the City of Morristown after 15 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his sons, Deborah Ann Breeden; and parents, Ervin and Wilma Breeden. He is survived by his wife, Becky Breeden; sons, John “Andy” Breeden and David “Mickey” Breeden and his wife, Kristi, and their children, Lydia Ann, Liam, and Lauryn; daughter, Laura Merrill and her husband, Jon, and their children, Jackson, Jacob, Jonah, Lucas, and Leah; brothers, Bill (Loretta) Breeden, Jim (Darlene) Breeden, and David (Sheila) Breeden; sister, Linda Breeden; aunt, Ernestine Vance; father-in-law, George Brotherton; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 29 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Alan Lamb officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 30 at Holt’s Baptist Church Cemetery for graveside services with Rev. Ben Brotherton officiating. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
