Obituary for Johnie Jewiel Miley Johnie Jewiel, the second of seven siblings was born September 18, 1928 in Delhi, Louisiana to the union of Lee and Candis Miley. He attended grade school in Richland Parish, and was baptized at the Union Valley Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Whatley at age 12. He was drafted into the United States Armed Forces during the Korean Conflict and soon afterward married his wife of forty-three years, Stella Taylor Miley. To this union, a daughter, Stephanie Miley, was adopted. In 2001, he decided to ask Bettye Bailey Hutchinson to spend his golden years with him, and so she did. Johnie Jewiel is survived by his wife Bettye; daughters, Louise and Stephanie (Lorenzo); sister, Amanda and brother, Prince; four grandsons, three granddaughters, nineteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
