Obituary for John S. Takach John S. Takach 70, of Estero, FL died July 28, 2018 at his residence. John was born September 11, 1947 in Queens, NY a son of the late Julius J. and Helen (Helmold) Takach. He had been a resident of Estero and Naples, FL since 1999 moving from Grand Rapids, MI. John graduated from the General Motors Institute (now known as Kettering University) with his degree in engineering. He spent 35 years with General Motors, first at the GM Plant in Cleveland, OH from 1964 – 1990 and then at the GM Plant in Grand Rapids, MI from 1990 – 1999. After retiring to Florida, he spent 12 years in the construction industry with Kraft Construction and most recently with a private company as Project Manager. He is survived by his loving wife, Christine F. Takach of Estero, FL; two children, Patrick S. Davis of Dallas, TX and Jennifer A. Davis of Estero, FL; his brother, Paul Takach and his wife, Gwen Walsh of Orange Village, OH and three grandchildren, Taylor A. Davis, Colten P. Davis and Leah E. Fuller and numerous cousins.
