John Charles Hampton October 15 1956 August 22 2018 (age 61)

John Charles Hampton was born on October 15, 1956 in Dallas to Mary Catherine and Ruel Edrington Hampton. He grew up in the Lake Highlands area attending St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School, Bishop Lynch High School, and Lake Highlands High School where he made lifelong friends. His higher education included University of Texas at Austin and Texas Tech University before entering the paper industry. John established a successful career working in the industry and cultivated many cherished relationships along the way. John was also an active member of The Dallas Society of Visual Communications for twenty years. John enjoyed spending time coaching his two daughters, Beth and Lisa, and eventually coached many women’s basketball players in the DFW area. John’s life was filled with the friendships and impactful connections he made in all areas of life. John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Deborah; daughter Beth Perry and husband Chris; daughter Lisa Bartek and husband Sam; brother Tom Hampton and wife Judi; and sister Mary Hoffman and husband Gordon. A celebration of John’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 28th at Emerald Hills Funeral Home with a private family visitation at 12:00 PM and a public service at 2:00 PM.
