Obituary for Jim Wayne Dykes Pratt, Kansas – Jim Dykes, 77, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at his home in Pratt. He was born May 15, 1941 in Stafford to Orlie Wayne Dykes and Winifred G. (Lenager). Jim worked as an Engineer for Union Pacific Railroad for 30 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pratt and BPOE Elks Lodge #1451. He loved flying, riding motorcycles and skiing. He is survived by his brother, Steve (Carol) Snyder of Stillwater, Oklahoma; sister, Donna (Art) Sullivan of Palm Desert, California; stepmom, Sadie Dykes of Kingman; and several nieces and nephews. Jim is preceded in death by his father, Wayne Dykes; mother, Winifred “Peggy” Dodson; and stepfathers, E.H. “Rink” Snyder and J.R. Dodson. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Larrison Mortuary with Tory Baucum presiding. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt. Memorials may be made to Lemon Park Lights in care of Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd, Pratt.
