Obituary for Jessie Vansill Wilson – Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Jessie Albert Vansill, 88, of Madill are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, August 31, 2018 at the Assembly of God Church of Wilson with Bro. Jeff Manuel and Bro. Don Kiser officiating. Interment will follow at the Bomar Point Cemetery of Wilson. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson. Jessie was born on January 19, 1930 at Graham to the late Mr. William Albert Vansill and Mrs. Sarah Estella (Watkins) Vansill. He departed this life on Monday afternoon, August 27, 2018 at his home in Madill surrounded by his family. Jessie was raised at Graham attending school at Wheeler. He married the former Ms. Lillian Lavern Powell on June 26, 1959 at her Parents home west of Wilson. They were blessed with three children, Barbara Jean, Betty June and Jesse Gerald. They lived many years within the Ratliff City area, where Jessie was employed in the Oilfield. He worked the majority of his years for Clour Well Service of Pruitt City. Jessie and his family moved to Wilson in 1976 where they remained together for many years. His wife Lavern preceded him in death on October 7, 1990. They attended the Wilson Assembly of God Church. Later in life Jessie married the former Betty Skidmore and they resided mostly in Wilson and Chickasha. Jessie always loved the outdoors fishing and squirrel hunting. He also enjoyed farming and ranching with his cows. Those who also preceded him in death in addition to his wife Lavern were his Parents; sister, Dorothy Lue Priest Christian; brothers, William Edward Vansill and Loyd Dwight Vansill and son in law, Butch Cornelison. Survivors include his wife Betty of Chickasha; daughters, Barbara Jean Cornelison Hux and husband Walter of Little City and Betty June Vansill of the home; son, Jesse Gerald Vansill and wife Yvonne of Gainesville, TX; grandchildren, Amanda Lott and husband Waylon and Bryan Cornelison, all of Little City; great grandchildren, Bridger Lott, Baler Lott, Axel Cornelison, Myla Cornelison and Briggs Lott; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family. Casket Bearers are Donnie Turner, Ronnie Turner, Bryan Cornelison, Waylon Lott, Red Clour and Casey Clour. Honorary Bearers are Randall Brinlee, Tommy Goodson, Bruce Turner, Benton Goodson, Bridger Lott, Baler Lott, Axel Cornelison and Briggs Lott. Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home in Wilson. Memorial Donations may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice of Ardmore at 207 C Street NW Ardmore, OK 73401.
