Jeanette Cornelia Burchell March 2, 1927 ~ July 31, 2018 Jeanette Cornelia Burchell, 91, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. She was born on March 2, 1927, the eldest of five children of Gerald and Agatha Otter Vlaanderen. Born and raised in Ogden, Jeanette graduated from Ogden High School Class of 1945. She spent a few short years in California and the rest of her life in Ogden. She married Charles Harry Burchell on August 21, 1950, and they raised three children together. Jeanette started working at DDO as a teenager and retired as a supervisor, then spent years volunteering at both Ogden Regional Medical Center and McKay Dee Hospital. She loved to work, travel, see movies, and spoil her grandchildren. Jeanette is survived by her children, Jeffrey S. (Arla) Burchell of South Ogden, Pam (Kirk) Ebertz of Ketchum, ID, Julie Burchell of Ogden; 4 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and granddogs, Brody and Rufus; brother, David (Mary Lynn) Vlaanderen, Roy. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Gerald, Bill, and Gene. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary. Special thanks to Encompass Hospice Staff, especially Tammy, Val, and Angie, and the staff (family) at Legacy House of Ogden.
