Obituary for Jean J. List Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare-Harrison Campus surrounded by her family. Age 82 years. Daughter of the late Frank and Mercedes (Guibord) Glover, Jean was born March 13, 1936 in Flint, Michigan. She was married to Floyd F. List on October 22, 1955. He predeceased her December 5, 2011. Jean was employed at Millett Learning Center as a teacher’s aide and cook. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church, volunteer for Special Olympics and ARC. Jean loved knitting, going to the casino and spending time with her family. She was a very giving person and especially loved Christmas. Surviving to cherish her memory are one daughter and two sons, Paul (Janis) List, Saginaw; Celina (Bill) Gottlieb, Saginaw; Jonathan List, Saginaw; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers, Barbara Glover-Lester, Joanne Smith, Connie Davies, Frank (Sally) Glover, Michael (Nancy) Glover; many nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa List. Funeral Service will take place 12:00 noon Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8695 Gratiot Rd. in Thomas Township. Pastor Kristina Truhan will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
