OBITUARY Jean Hundley Harrison February 6, 1929 – August 20, 2018 Jean Hundley Harrison, 86, of Fieldale passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018. She was born in Fieldale, VA on April 7, 1932 to Leo Frank Hundley and Nannie Lou Stone Hundley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Otha G. “Jack” Harrison, Jr.; and brothers, Kenneth, Gary and Johnny Mack Hundley. She is survived by her daughters, Betsy (Tripp) Schilling of Chattanooga, TN and Suzanne (David) Williams of Martinsville; grandchildren, Samantha Caviness of Winston-Salem, NC. and Mark (Ashley) Hudson of Raleigh, NC.; brothers, Frank W. Hundley of Danville, VA., R.B. Hundley of Patrick County, and Leo Hundley of Johnson City, TN.; sisters, Lee Adkins of Fieldale, VA., Reva Pulliam, of Kernersville, NC; Bonnie Griffith of Collinsville, VA.; numerous nieces and nephews; and cherished companion and caretaker, Lenora Stoneman. Jean graduated from Fieldale High School, Class of 1949. She was a lifelong resident of Fieldale and a member of Fieldale Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and VBS for over 40 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fieldale Baptist Church, P.O. Box 98, Fieldale, VA 24089 or to the SPCA, 132 Joseph Martin Hwy, Martinsville, VA 24112. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Fieldale Baptist Church with Reverend Allen Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Roselawn Burial Park.
