Obituary for James Richardson James M. Richardson “Jim”, 88, of Shrewsbury, PA went to his eternal home on Sunday, July 29, 2018. Born in Monongahela, PA he was the son of the late William F. and Alice (Smith) Richardson. He was a graduate of Snowden High School, Indiana State Teachers College, and Towson University. He taught art in the Snowden Township and Shanksville-Stoneycreek School Districts in PA, and completed his teaching career in Baltimore County, MD where he also supervised other art teachers. Upon his retirement he more actively pursued his passion for antiques as proprietor of the Village Studio Antique Shop in Shrewsbury and began carving Santa’s for family and friends. Jim was a member of the Stewartstown Presbyterian Church where he served as a Trustee, a veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He is survived by his wife Sarah Grace; his children Laura Fitz and husband Steve, James II and wife Karen Roundtree, R. Craig, and Karen Bradley and husband Steve; his grandchildren Matthew Fitz, Timothy Fitz and wife Amanda Wixted, Christopher Bradley, and Sarah Bradley; his great-granddaughter Ruby; his sister Alice Hakos and husband Joe, sister-in-law Janet Moxley and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 at 2PM from Stewartstown Presbyterian Church, 14 College Ave. Stewartstown, PA 17363. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held from 12PM until the time of his service on Friday at the Church.
