Obituary for James “Jimmy” B. Rumph James “Jimmy” Rumph, 78, of Phenix City, died Tuesday August 28, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday September 1, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA, with Pastor Ryan Scott officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Mr. Rumph was born January 10, 1940 in Phenix City, AL to the late James Rumph and Ludie Putnam Rumph. He retired from Dolly Madison. Jimmy was an Auburn football fanatic so in his memory please wear your Auburn football colors. Survivors include his wife, Gloria Rumph of Phenix City, daughters, Barbara Rumph Maldonado of Smiths Station, AL, Constance Elias of Omaha, NE, Ann Parkinson of Smiths Station, AL, grandchildren, Jonathan Maldonado of Phenix City, AL, Jennifer Dickinson (Ian)of Tacoma, WA, Jackson Elias of Omaha, NE, Chris Parkinson (Christina) of Smiths Station, AL, great grandchildren, Colten, Taylor and Harper, brother, Peter Rumph , and several nieces and nephews.
