Obituary for James Francis Leary Jr. James Francis Leary Jr., 74, of Bonita Spring, FL, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018. Formerly of Norfolk, MA, he had been a Bonita Springs resident since 2010. He was born June 16, 1944 in Boston, MA, the son of Agatha Virginia (née Forrester) and James Francis Leary Sr. Jim received his bachelors from Fairfield University (‘66) and his Masters of Chemistry from University of Rhode Island (‘67). In addition to his full time profession he proudly served as a call firefighter for 45 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed sharing stories about his stamp collection, history and books he’d read and enjoyed. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary (née Donnelly) Leary; and his beloved daughters, Heather Leary of Waltham, MA and Jennifer Leary of Seattle, WA. Services will be held in Massachusetts at a later date and will be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are being handled by Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home – Family Owned Since 1978.
