James Eugene Weis September 1 1942 August 15 2018 (age 75)

James (Jim) Eugene Weis, 75, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio surrounded by loved ones. Jim was born September 1, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio. Jim was a commercial roofer, and a proud member of Toledo Roofers Local #134 for over 50 years. Jim’s passion for life was undeniable. Everyone Jim met was considered a friend. While not in Toledo, Coldwater Lake was Jim’s home away from home where he enjoyed many summers spent with his friends and family. Jim is survived by children, Ann (Ernest, Jr.) Rice, Michael Weis (Becci) and Darlene (Robert) Cummerow; grandchildren, Janelle Rice, Amanda (Mark) Berning, Robert, James (Paige) and Sarah Cummerow, Kaitlyn, Seth and Kohl Weis; great-grandchildren Hannah Berning and Henry Cummerow; siblings, Betty, Annalee and Richard (Elsie); many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna; parents Linus and Inez (Croy) Weis; sister Jean. We would like to thank all the caregivers who lovingly took care of our father and became part of our family. Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Road in Oregon on Saturday, August 25th, 2018 from 2-7 p.m. with a memorial service at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to A City On A Hill Teaching Center.
