MR. JAMES D. CALLAHAN, AGE 76 Mr. James D. Callahan, age 76 of Hutsonville, IL died Wednesday August 1, 2018 at 8:10 PM at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL following several months of declining health. Born January 11, 1942 in Hutsonville, IL he was the son of Graydon L. and Marjorie I. (Strole) Callahan. On April 13, 1963 he married Janice (Stephens) and she survives. Jim worked in the Maintenance Department, Hutsonville Generating Station, Central Illinois Public Service Company, for many years. He was a member of the Int’l Union of Electrical Engineers, I.U.O.E #841, Terre Haute, IN. Jim attended the Methodist Church, Hutsonville, IL and was a member of the West Union Masonic Lodge #43. His hobbies included motorcycles and cars, especially a 1995 red Cadillac, which quickly became his favorite car. Survivors include his wife, Janice Callahan, Hutsonville, IL; sons, James D. Callahan. Jr., Stoy, IL, Todd Callahan and Sue Randle, Hutsonville, IL; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Larry Dunlap, Palestine, IL, Beth and Mitch Drum, Hutsonville, IL; grandchildren, Chris and Melanie Dunlap, Navarre, FL, Katie and Tommy York, Indianapolis, IN, Danielle and Tyler Vaughn, Flat Rock, IL, Kylie Ogle, Kirkwood, MO, Austin and Moriah Callahan, Spokane, WA, Roxie Randall, Taos, New Mexico, Drew Randle, Champaign, IL; five great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, LeRoy and Dee Ann Callahan, Findlay, OH, brother-in-law and spouse, John and Linda Stephens, Terre Haute, IN along with two nephews and their families, Craig and Lucy Callahan, Greensboro, NC and Eric and Tamara Callahan, Schwenksville, PA and nine great nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Loren and Hazel Stephens. The Funeral Service will be Sunday August 5, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Pulliam Funeral Home, Hutsonville, IL with Bro. Joe Griffith officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of service at 3:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hutsonville Cemetery, Hutsonville, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Crawford Memorial Hospital Foundation with envelopes available at the funeral home.
