Henry Grady Thomason 1925 2018

Obituary for Henry Thomason Henry Grady Thomason, 92, of Loganville, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018; on the dawn of his 74th Wedding Anniversary to his beloved wife Ruby Nell. Born in Stephens County, he was a son of the late Marion Jones Thomason and Ila Mae Sloane Thomason. Mr. Thomason was a Combat Veteran of the United States Army and a recipient of two Bronze Star Medals. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of employment. Most importantly, he was a loving father and grandfather to five generations. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Nell Payne Thomason. Survivors include his children, Dianna Thomason White, Tommy Thomason and his wife Judy, Barry Thomason Sr. and his wife Barbara and Angela Thomason Chainer and her husband David; siblings, Blanche Thomason Ward and Bill Thomason; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Lord and Stephens West with Rev. Nathan Palmer officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at Sugar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Gainesville GA. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 until 1:00 pm.
