Helen E. (Urban) Obranovich, 93, of West Mifflin died peacefully on Monday, August 6, 2018 in Kane Regional, McKeesport. Born on February 28, 1925, in Duquesne. She was the daughter of the Late Joseph and Helen (Rohal) Urban. Mrs. Obranovich was a faithful member of SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne, and former employee of Westinghouse and the former U.S. Steel National Tube Works. She also was a member of the Parish Club of SS. Peter & Paul, it’s Rosary Society, a former Choir member, and former member of The Duquesne Annex Senior Citizens. Beloved wife of the Late Anthony A. Obranovich, she is survived by her loving son Michael (Mary Anne) Obranovich; a sister Dorothy Danko of Conneticut; 2 granddaughters, a great grandson, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Urban, and three sisters, Annie Cmar, Margaret Yanchanko, and Martha Petrovich. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday, August 9, 2018 in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford and Commonwealth Avenue, Duquesne. A Blessing in the Memorial Home on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 9:15am will be followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in SS. Peter & Paul Church with Rev. John Cuccaro as Celebrant. Burial will follow in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, West Mifflin. In Lieu of flowers, Family request donations to SS. Peter & Paul Church, 701 Foster Ave., Duquesne, PA 15110.
