Obituary for Gracie H. Brandon Gracie H. Brandon passed away at her residence on August 19, 2018. She was a native of Cannon County, but lived most of her life in Rutherford County. Gracie was retired from the Rutherford County School System as a custodian. Gracie was preceded in death by her parents, Sheila Hughes and Bertha Ferrell Leyhew; step-father, Ruel Leyhew; and brother Jimmy Hughes. She is survived by her husband, John Brandon; sons, Stevie Nixon, Mathew Nixon; step-sons, John (Betty)Brandon Jr. and Jeff (Jan) Brandon; daughter, Nancy (Kevin) Thomas; brother, Franklin (Debra) Hughes; sisters, Joy Eubanks, Betty (Billy) Sanford, and Katherine (Buddy) Young; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and loving caregiver Wynona Harris. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home and Cremation. A chapel service will be 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel. Active pall-bearers will be friends and family members. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro, TN.
