Gladys M. Martin, 98 of Boonville NY passed away August 23rd, 2018. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cleveland Funeral Home Inc, Watertown, NY. Gladys is the widow of Robert Martin. Native of Remsen, NY she was born on April 20th, 1920 to Frank and Hazel Thomas Brant. Gladys attended the Remsen local schools. She moved to Utica where she worked at Ryders Photo Studios for many years. On September 7th, 1941 she was united in marriage to Robert Martin at St. Joseph’s church in Utica. After her husband’s honorable discharge from service in World War II, the couple settled in Utica until they moved to Boonville, NY in 1949. Gladys was a member of St. Joseph’s church and Alter Rosary Society. She was also a member of XYZ Seniors of Remsen. She also enjoyed doing various crafts. Gladys is survived by three sons Robert (Ruth) of Largo, FL, Donald (Carol) of Turin, NY, and Kevin of Glens Falls, NY. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Robbie, Russell, Michael, Carrie, Bryan, and Meghan Martin, along with Ashlee, Caroline, Madison, and Ryley.
