Ghronda Leah Tarpley-Adam 1950 2018

Obituary for Ghronda Tarpley-Adam Ghronda Leah Tarpley-Adam passed away August 10, 2018. She was born in Merkel September 28, 1950 to E. L. “Babe” and Billie (Gregory) Tarpley. Ghronda graduated from Merkel High School in 1969 and later graduated from Bauder Fashion College and North Texas University. After attending school she enjoyed various sales careers before working territories across much of Western Texas with Loreal. She retired from Loreal after working for 26 years. In 1994 Ghronda married the love of her life John Hans Adam. In retirement she was blessed with being able to be a caretaker for her mother and Aunt Helen. Ghronda loved her family and is survived by her “little” brother Buster Tarpley and wife LeeAnn; nieces Brandi(KC) Morris, Tamara(Byron) Norton; nephew Adam (Shortie) Tarpley. Ghronda is also survived by many loved cousins near and far. She had a special place in her heart for her grand-nieces RyAnne and Emily and grand-nephew Cooper. When she married John, she added to her family Richard Patke, Johnna Arden, and DeDe Stanley and families. She was preceded in death by her husband John and her parents. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00PM Monday, August 13, 2018 at Starbuck Funeral Home. A memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the Merkel Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Merkel Cemetery Association or the Merkel Church of Christ Kitchen Fund.
