Obituary for Geraldine DeLuce Gates Geraldine B. DeLuce Gates, 71, of Pittsfield, MA, passed away August 6, 2018 at Craneville Place of Dalton. Born on July 25, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Louis DeLuce and Evelyn Golden DeLuce. She was married to the late Gordon F. Gates. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Gates, worked later in life as a housekeeper at the former Hilton and Howard Johnsons in Lenox. Mrs. Gates leaves behind two daughters, Tammy Newhall and her husband Kevin of Vernon, CT, and Tracy Deane and her husband Dexter of Manchester, CT; a son Gordon Gates Jr., and his wife Aubrey of Vernon, CT; six grandchildren; a sister Patricia Codding and her husband Edward of Rome, GA; her longtime companion Robert Bessette and her cat Patches. As well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Milton DeLuce. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Geraldine B. DeLuce Gates will be held, THURSDAY, August 9, 2018 from 4:00-7:00pm at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelther in care of the funeral home.
