George Anthony Liptak III 1973 2018

Obituary for George Liptak III George Anthony Liptak, III, 44 of Lakewood passed away July 29, 2018. He was born November 8, 1973 in Chicago, IL to George Anthony Liptak, Jr. and Margaret “Maggie” Seguin. George grew up in Longmont, CO, attended Niwot High School and graduated from Columbine High School in 1991. He earned his Associate’s degree from Front Range Community College and Bachelor’s degree from Capella University. George worked as a nurse for several years. He worked at St. Anthony Hospital in the trauma unit as well as Flight for Life and Donor Alliance. Through his education and training, he helped to save many lives. George enjoyed scuba diving, playing guitar, being in the mountains and riding his motorcycle. He is survived by his parents, George (Nancy) Liptak of St. John, IN and Maggie (Ken) Seguin of Longmont, CO, two sisters, Dorothy (John) Kopala of Thornton, CO and Maggie (Marc) Marcoux of Niwot, CO as well as his extended family in Colorado, Illinois and Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to Food Bank of the Rockies, www.foodbankrockies.org/give/give-funds or masses said in George’s honor. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 3 at St. Francis of Assisi, 3791 Pike Rd. Longmont, CO 80503 with interment to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
