Gary Lynn Pittman, 74, of Waveland IN., passed away August 27th, 2018 at IU Methodist hospital from injuries due to an accident. Gary was born July 1st, 1944 in Williamsport IN. to Eugene and Mary E. Pittman. He graduated from Granville Wells High School. Surviving are his wife Anne, who he married on February 6th, 1964. They have four children, Christie (Travis) Bowling of Waveland, Dan (Dianna) of Virginia, Mark (Tabitha) of Hamilton & Matt (Tammy) of Waveland. They have nine grandchildren, Riley, Rodney, Zackary, Cheyanna, Brooke, Gwyneth, Faith, Oliva and Samuel. Five step-grandchildren, Justin, Lindsey, Lauren, Grace and Sydni. Five great step-grandchildren, Arabella, Brooke, Joslin, Emerson and Easton. Two brothers also survive, Gayle and Greg (Kim) and their families. In-laws, Jan (Bill) Ludlow, Joe, John (Vicki), Rex (Robin), Max (Lora) Whittington, Marilyn and Roberta. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, Janes, Tom, Frank and Gerald. Gary worked at RR Donelly for 43 years. He served in the Army for two years. He enjoyed gardening, auctions and naps. Gary was a wonderful husband, father, father–in-law, grandparent and friend. He will be missed by many. Memorial service will be private and held at a later date. Donations if desired can be made to Parke-Vermillion Co. Animal Shelter in Gary’s name. Rortvedt Funeral Services & Crematory in Tilton is assisting the family.
