Gary L. Sechrengost, 70, of Johnstown, died August 2, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 2, 1948 in Johnstown, son of George Sr. and Helen (Burkhart) Sechrengost. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Carol J.; sons, Sean and Bryan; brother, George Jr.; grandson, Bryan Jr. Survived by children Michael A. married to Michelle (Hemlock), Gary L. Jr. married to Terri (Matejovich); grandchildren, Michael A. Jr., Maygan C.S., Brooke K., Tayler O., Jayden S., Mara A., Maisen L.; great grandchildren, Scarlett G. and Addalynn; step great grandchild, Jane; sister, Linda married to Earl Jones; daughter-in-law, Emily M. Sechrengost; great nephew, Drew E. Jones and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He loved hunting, fishing and watching movies. He loved to travel with his camper. Gary was also a foster father to numerous children for over 27 years. He retired from Bethlehem Steel. Friends will be received Monday from 5-7 pm at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 pm, Pastor Rob Wolf. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
