Frank P D’Alonzo 1933 2018

Obituary of Frank D’Alonzo Frank P. D’Alonzo, 84, of Lavallette, NJ, formerly of West Orange, NJ and Chester, NJ, passed away on Monday August 6, 2018 with his loving family by his side. Frank was born on October 4, 1933 in Orange, NJ to the late Modestino and Michelena D’Alonzo. He graduated from Villanova University where he played football and received a degree in Education. He later earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Seton Hall University. Frank was an English Teacher and later became a School Administrator in the West Orange School System. He also was the Head Football Coach at both Netcong HS and West Orange Mountain HS. He is survived by his five devoted children, Frank P. D’Alonzo, Jr, and wife Deana, Gary M. D’Alonzo and wife Nancy, Leonora A. D’Alonzo, Kathy L. Monday and husband John, and Michael A. D’Alonzo and wife Lisa; nine cherished grandchildren, Christina, Michelle, Michelena, Felicia, Frank P. III, Matthew, John Francis Monday, Gabrielle, and Michael; and by many other loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lenore E. (Cassini) D’Alonzo in 2001; two brothers, Rev. Alfred D’Alonzo CSC, Peter D’Alonzo and his wife Carol; and by his sister Albina D’Alonzo. Frank’s Life Celebration will include a visitation on Thursday August 9, 2018 from 3-5PM & 7-9PM at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Rd. (corner of rt. 206) Chester, NJ 07930 (908) 879-3090. A Funeral mass will be held on Friday August 10, 2018 at 10:30AM at St. Lawrence RC Church in Chester. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
