Franklin S Hall Sr 2018

Franklin “Papa” Hall Sr, 73, of Parkersburg. Passed away peacefully at his home, July 31, 2018, after battleing with COPD and congestive heart failure. He was born in Parkersburg on January 10, 1945, the son of the late Virgil and Ila Belle Hall. He retired from the City of Parkersburg Street Department in 2005. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sports and the news, but especially watching his son and nephews, race dirt track cars over the years. He was also a classic car enthusiast. He is survived by one son, Franklin S. Hall Jr. (Diana) of Belmont, WV; one daughter, Annette F. Wigal (James) of Lanesville, IN; one sister, Brenda Hall (Wayne) of Parkersburg; one brother, Virgil Hall of Parkersburg; four granddaughters, Sara Hall, Kaylee Hall, Jaci Hall, and Ridley Wigal; one grandson, Montgomery Wigal; two great grandchildren, Hadley and Dylan Knotts. He was also a father to two nieces and one nephew, Tammy Burns (Lee) of Elizabeth WV, Heather Sherrod (Ronnie) of Charleston WV, and Holly “Bucky” Kerby (Sherry) of South Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Geneva Hall, and several brothers and sisters. The funeral service will be Saturday beginning at 1pm at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the funeral home.
