Flora M. Pamer, 92, of Austintown, entered into eternal rest Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Park Vista in Youngstown. She was born July 2, 1926 in Curitiba, Brazil, the daughter of Florian and Theresa (Jochum) Buchner, coming to the United States in 1947. Flora graduated from YSU and, after that, also graduated from Austintown Fitch, where she can be seen in the 1951 yearbook. She worked her way from bookkeeper and accountant to owner of Gray’s Auto Stores. She belonged to the Saxon Club, the Youngstown Torch Club, and SCORE-Youngstown, where she had been chairperson for five years. She enjoyed classical music, playing piano, and all outdoor activities, especially skiing and swimming. She loved animals and supported animal charities. Fond memories of Flora live on in her two children, Janet (Philip LaMonica) Moy of Austintown and Florian (Karla) Pamer of South Jordan, Utah; three grandchildren: Zach, Madison, and Ashely Hadean; and a nephew, Josef (Christa) Eckl of Munich, Germany, along with their two children. Preceding her in death are her parents; her beloved husband, William Pamer, whom she married August 13, 1947 and who died June 14, 2015; and two sisters. Per her request, cremation is taking place. Services are pending.
