Obituary of Evelyn McAdam Evelyn (Warren) McAdam, 94, of Blue Bell, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Normandy Farms Estates. She was the beloved wife of the late Will McAdam who passed away in 2011. Born April 25, 1924, in Cleveland, OH, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Nell (Cliatt) Warren. Mrs. McAdam was a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School and attended Hillside College in Michigan, Cleveland State University, and Temple University and received her Bachelor’s from Beaver College, now Arcadia University. Mrs. McAdam was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ambler for over 68 years, and where she was a choir member for over 50 years. In her early years, Mrs. McAdam was an active volunteer. She was a Girl Scout leader and member of the Board of Directors. She was a member of the Questers and was the past president and was a former PA state President. Mrs. McAdam was very accomplished in all types of needlework. She was also an avid teacher of needlework. She loved to travel and started her own travel group named Evelyn’s Friends. For many years she organized and led trips, ranging from day trips to cruises, to vacations overseas. She has traveled to all 50 states and every continent except Australia and Antarctica. She is survived by her daughter Peggy Hager and her husband Bruce R. of Wayne, her son-in-law Steven Adams of Schnecksville; her sister Ruth Zelman; her grandchildren, Beth, Adam, Lara, Amy, Drew; and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Adams. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 11 AM at Normandy Farms Estates Auditorium, 9000 Twin Silo Dr. Blue Bell PA 19422, where friends may greet the family from 10:30-11:00AM.
