OBITUARY Evelyn Harrington Qualls October 31, 1932 – August 24, 2018 Evelyn Harrington Qualls, 85, passed away peacefully at home on Friday (August 24, 2018) with her family by her side. She was born on Oct. 31, 1932 in Kingsport, TN to the late Elbert & Sylvia (Wilson) Myers. Evelyn was an active member of Crossroads United Methodist Church and choir. She worked in the jewelry business most of her life. Evelyn also spent many wonderful decades at Kingsport’s Women of the Moose. Evelyn enjoyed traveling, dancing, cooking, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Harrington and Jim Qualls; sister, Irene Kestner; and brother, Roby Myers. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter; Martha Berry; son, Steven Harrington & wife Susan; three grandsons, Ryan Harrington, Johnny Berry, and Chris Berry; great-grandson Clayton Berry; two sisters, Virginia Quillen and Pauline Becker; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will greet guests and share memories on Tuesday (August 28, 2018) from 5 to 7 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 7 pm with Pastor Phil Kestner officiating. Evelyn will be entombed on Wednesday (August 29, 2018) in Mausoleum II at East Lawn Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Wellmont Hospice and Judy Miller for all the kind and compassionate care that was both given and shown to Evelyn during her time of need.
