Sturbridge…Ethel T. (Cloutier) Gorman, 85, died at home Tuesday, July 31, 2018, after a long illness. Her husband was the late Charles E. Gorman who died in 1989. She is survived by her son Jon Gorman of Fiskdale, and 2 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Diane (Gorman) Hodgekins of Maine, 3 sisters Rita Kupiec, Anne Marie Laferriere, Vivian Lindsay, and her brother Marc Cloutier. She was born in Southbridge, October 5, 1932, daughter of the late Emile O. and Juliette (Gervais) Cloutier and has lived in the area all her life. She was a member of St. Anne/St. Patrick’s Church in Fiskdale. Mrs. Gorman was a retired telephone operator for the New England Telephone, and also worked as a customer service rep at the American Optical Co. for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo, needlepoint, cross-stitching, and gardening. Calling hours will be Thursday, August 2, 2018, from 5-7PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550. The funeral Mass will be on Friday, August 3, 2018, at 10AM, at St. Anne/St. Patrick’s Church, 16 Church Street, Fiskdale, MA 01518. Burial will follow at St. Anne Cemetery, Arnold Road, Sturbridge, MA. www.sansoucyfuneral.com
